BMS students honored for sportsmanship

The following Bettendorf Middle School students have been awarded the Regina McGill Sportsmanship award for fall sports during the third quarter:

Boys basketball

Seventh-grade boys, Black Squad: Kristofer Klabunde, Kristoffer Poole and Alberto Vital

Seventh-grade boys, Gold Squad: Nicholas Heimendinger, Mitchell Parker, Christopher Persell and Timothy Truman

Eighth-grade boys: Gold Squad: Ryan Ballard, JP Flynn, Slater Murphy, Neel Patel and Bobbie Slavens

Eighth-grade boys: Black Squad: Shayne Boles, Peter Finn, Benjamin Haedt, Brian Thomas and Tyler Wilson

Winter cheerleading

Seventh grade: Megan Sanchez, Peyton Tumey and Tricia McEntire

Eighth grade: Tina Vasquez, Alexis Noftsker and Samantha Loose Bartholomew

Swimming

Seventh grade: Molly Dryg, Jennifer Martin, Megan Nickles, Carrie Wells and Aaron Scheerer.

Eighth grade: Samantha George, Kylie Hershberger, Keegan Matt, Amanda Miller and Samantha Perkins.
