Stephen Peters, son of Batty Peters, Newton, Iowa, was commissioned to the rank of captain in the Air National Guard to serve as chaplain of the 185th Air Refueling Wing at the Sioux City Air National Guard Base, Iowa. He also will provide chaplain support to the 133rd Test Squadron at Fort Dodge, Iowa. His wife, Susan, is the daughter of John and Rachel Kvapil, Bettendorf.
